How to Celebrate Your Businesses ‘Birthday’.

Many people may laugh at the idea of throwing a party or hosting an event to celebrate your business’ “birthday.” However, keeping your business afloat for another year (especially in the current climate) is something worth celebrating!

Furthermore, hosting this kind of event gives you the chance to interact with your customers face-to-face,  strengthening your relationship and encouraging repeat customers.

With that in mind, here are some top tips that you can use to plan an unforgettable anniversary event for your business!

  • Find the perfect venue. The first step toward planning a successful party is finding the right venue. Ideally, this should be a local hotspot, such as a bar, so that members of the community will be able to attend. Alternatively, and if space allows, you could host the event at your business premises.
  • Put together a safety plan. If you’re expecting a large number of guests to attend your event, put together a public safety plan ahead of time. This will give you greater peace of mind and ensure that you have a system in place to follow in the unlikely event that things go wrong.
  •  Send out invites. The earlier you send out invites, whether they’re part of your mailing list or a social media post, the easier it will be for your customers to make time in their schedule to attend. Be sure to ask them to RSVP ahead of time, so that you know how many guests will be an attendance and you can plan accordingly.
  • Decorate the venue. There are many reasons why you should decorate the venue you’ve hired out. Firstly, it can help set the tone for the event. For example, renting out an LED dance floor, can put guests in the mood to party all night long- and you can find out more about LED Dance Floor Rental here. When decorating the venue, you should also be sure to feature your branding throughout the space.
  • Hand out some freebies. Nothing excites guests more than getting their hands on some freebies during an event! For example, if you’re launching a new product, you could give each attendee a smaller sample of this to take home. Not only is this a great way to generate some hype around its launch, but it also increases the chances of them buying the product too!
  • Invite other local business owners. In addition to inviting some loyal customers to the party, be sure to reach out to local business owners, too. This can turn into a valuable networking opportunity and could mean that you choose to partner together on future projects or collaborations, which in turn, could help you take your business to new heights.
  • Pat yourself on the back. When planning an event, it’s easy to focus on keeping those in attendance happy – but it’s important that you also use this as an opportunity to celebrate with your colleagues. You’ve all worked hard to reach this milestone, and that alone is something worth celebrating!
