This had to get top of the list. AG is coming back! Hell yeah!

Sneak Peek: Magento Demo Store Homepage
Magento, the most promising looking e-commerce platform, is set to roll out within the next 5 days. Here’s the first sneak peek of the homepage, and I’m now more giddier than a 12 year old and his first copy of Maxim.

What’s Your Archetype?
If you run a community (blog or forum), this is an interesting look at the different archetypes you can expect and hope for within your community.

[daily dose of imagery]
I think we already proclaimed our love for this site way back when, but it’s worth another plug. Toronto should throw out all their cheesy marketing and just make a book out of these photos. Absolutely, inspirationally stunning.

MoanMyIP.com
If there’s a more embarrassing way to find your IP address in the office while speakers are cranked aloud, I’d love to hear about it.

Which Ads Don’t Get Skipped?
BusinessWeek put together a list and slideshow of some of the spots that are said to be the least skipped on Tivo. Go Bowflex, go!

Better ways of working — Part OnePart TwoPart Three
Gareth at Brand New took some of the highlights from a recent presentation he made at VCU Adcenter. It’s a fantastic branding series broken up over three posts.

A video tour of Zink’s office, creators of a new inkless printing technology. Printing pictures directly from your digital camera and cellphones, is not too far down the road.

    1. AG owns me

    2. I usually find one more blog each week through these lists to add to my RSS - anyone else do that?

    Thanks T!

  2. John Says:

I don’t understand. You just take the coolest things on digg and put them into a list, that is very unoriginal. I know a lot of people do it, but don’t you think that 70-80% of your readers have already read this stuff? Now, I don’t want to brag but this is a list:

    37 Signals SVN

  3. Travis Says:

Actually, I go through a list of about 220 feeds and see if there’s any interesting content over the past 7 days. I then handpick a few, and add it to this weekly list.

I wasn’t exactly trying to create a list of the rarest news for some fella’ named John. If you’ve seen some of them already, or a few of them went popular on Digg, so be it. Close this page and move on then.

Eric, remind me to add that “Jackass of the Day” plugin so we can tag certain comments every now and then.

  4. Eric Says:

I haven’t read a lot of it, and FYI, a lot of readers actually do like the link round up, why do you think “a lot of people do it”? What’s the point of your comment John? Why even waste your time? Wouldn’t an easier solution be to just unsubscribe?

  5. kevin Says:

I’m gonna assume the douche bag is a custom feature you guys have built into your cms?

    it’s a hilarious one nonetheless.

keep up the link roundups - I assume the majority of your visitors don’t have the time to sit around and view digg all day.

    roundups like this are appreciated.

  6. Satish Says:

Eric I do that - there are just way too many blogs circling in and out of my RSS feeds, all in the pursuit to find the perfect startpage mix. (YGG’s left column top!)

I never thought I would do it, but a few weeks ago I even moved to multiple tabs. To think moving to 3 columns earlier this year worried me.. I’m on a dangerous path of RSS-addiction here.

Poor douchebag… I enjoy the link round-ups, thanks for the good reads!

  7. Andrew Says:

That Douchebag plugin is awesome. Regardless, this is all news to me so thanks for looking through 220 feeds so we don’t have to!

  8. elysa Says:

I love link roundups most people don’t have the time to read everything. Plus it’s interesting to see what your favorites for the week are. I love the new plugin as well it’s pretty funny.

  9. elysa Says:

ps - I just added daily dose of imagery to my “morning” folder in firefox that I open up in tabs every morning.
