General Business: Jobs forum postings??

    Maybe this is a dud idea but I reckon a Job board would be a useful addition to this site.

    Sure there's not a heap of traffic here - but the users of this site have certain types of characteristics that many employers would be looking for (eg, inititiative, enthusiasm etc). I'd probably offer jobs to several of the people I've seen lurking here - in other words, I'd use it to place an ad out there.

    What does everyone else think? Dumb idea or ok?

    I'd also suggest posting on Authentic Jobs and the 37signals Jobs / 37signals Gigs boards.

    Just avoid Craigslist and the like. You'll get 100s of applicants, few if any that are qualified.

    I'd highly recommend craigslist. You may get a lot of applicants but you'll get some good ones. I've found dozens of qualified workers on craigslist.

    You may have to filter out the trash but it's free compared to paying $200+ for a job posting.

    You can also try: http://www.jobvertise.com/. They seem to be new but it's free exposure.
