Just saw a post on ProBlogger that any YGG that blogs should take a look at. It’s a little long winded so instead of re-posting it here, I’ll just link ya.
How To Market Your Blog in 2007
GoodSearch - Why didn’t I think of that?
I think this is a fantastic idea. A Yahoo! powered search engine that donates half of its search revenues to charity. The best part? You get to pick the charity. They even let you see how much money has been raised. I went on there and did a search for some charities and there are TONS of them.
Even though the search is good, their homepage is not. It’s awful - tons of whitespace and things just scattered about. It’s almost so bad that I don’t want to use it frequently. They definitely should have put more effort into the design, and who knows if it’ll catch on, but the idea is worth mentioning. Browsing the internet never felt so good.
Does the iPhone remind you of anything?
Remember the Newton?
Steve Jobs wasn’t a part of that failure, but if you look back the hype was nearly of equal measure for it’s time. The iPhone doesn’t even come with a stylus! ;)
eBay to buy StubHub
From the San Francisco Business Journal
“Online auction company eBay Inc. and sports ticket reseller StubHub have confirmed a Wall Street Journal report that eBay will buy StubHub for about $310 million. San Francisco-based StubHub is the largest tickets-only reseller of tickets to sports, concerts and other events. StubHub, along with other competitors, helped change a reselling business that “was fragmented and inefficientâ€? and give it a more orderly, accessible format, said StubHub CEO Jeff Fluhr told the Business Times in an interview last year. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of this year.”
$310,000,000 - my oh my. Hopefully for eBay it’ll be a bigger hit than eBay Express.
