Teamwork!

YGG Directors

After a very busy January for us here at YGG, meeting new people and learning a lot, I would like to start off the new month on welcoming some new faces to the YGG team. I would like to thank everyone for their interest, we have gained quite a few good writers, and lets welcome our new family members!

These brave people will be helping shape what’s to come on YGG in the next year. They will be committing their most valuable resource, time, to help better the community.

Directors

  • Justin Nowak
  • Dion Delaurier
  • Travis Hines
  • Joey Pomerenke
  • Lorren Biffin
  • Monica O’Brien

I am going to put an introduction in their own words for people you may not know:

Joey Pomerenke

Joey Pomerenke is a pet industry professional an Internet entrepreneur and at the age of 24, a Young Go Getter! While attending the business college at Iowa State University, he started an e-commerce company called JP eTail Group LLC, which operated a network of pet supply online stores. In 2007 the web properties of JP eTail Group LLC were acquired by a private investment company, allowing Joey to start development on his new project – PetEcommerce.com LLC. The PetEcommerce.com Partner Program is a powerful e-commerce solution that empowers pet industry professionals to become online retailers.

Lorren Biffin

I am the owner of the development start-up Bluemill Media. You can expect to see a lot of great work come out of myself and my team of talented professionals in 2008. We’ve got some great stuff underway that I’m sure I’ll speak with you all about at one point or another.

I’ve been a part of the graphic design and web development industry for just over 9 years. More recently I’ve been focusing my efforts on building Bluemill Media and developing in-house services and products under that brand. I also feel that I’m very proficient in the areas of conceptual web-marketing, web analytics, project coordination and just generally GTD. I’m a leader at heart, but love working on the level with like-minded individuals.

I’m very excited to be a part of YGG and looking forward to contributing as much as I can to hopefully lend a hand in bettering the careers of my fellow professionals.

Monica O’Brien

My name is Monica O’Brien and I’m a software engineer in Chicago, IL. I’m originally from Guam (sort of) - actually, my parents were in the Air Force so I didn’t grow up in any one place.

I’m also a part time student with a full time course load at the University of Chicago, where I’m getting an MBA with concentrations in marketing and entrepreneurship.

I currently run a new blog called Twenty Set. I mostly write tips about things that are happening in my life that others might be going through as well. Twenty Set is growing quickly with the help of writing for Young Go Getter and guest posting on other prominent blogs.

Justin, Dion and Travis

Well we have our bio on the about page so I will save your eyes reading it over again.

WELCOME!

So I would like to welcome all of the new directors to YGG and we look forward to all the great suggestions and help over what will be an exciting 2008 for YGG!
