Our couches may be made of pleather, and our fridge stock full of RC Cola, but you’ll get used to it. Yes, a huge chunk of Adsense users wouldn’t exist without your encouragement in the early days of blogging and promise and hopes of PPC. But Google doesn’t care.

Have you seen their stock price lately? It’s hit the point where they can automate even more and slam their fist wherever they wish.

Heck, they even bitch-slapped Engadget from a 7 to a 5. Engadget doesn’t sell Text Link Ads, so you can put that “cause of” rumor to rest.

Yes, everyone is already talking about this. But I would have felt bad if I hadn’t officially welcomed the a-listers to the 4.0 club. But don’t fret fellas, 4.0 is a fantastic GPA and a better than mediocre page rank!

Oh how will the SEO addicts sleep tonight? Google, you my friend, are the douche bag of the day.

    Hahaha. Unfortunately, you can’t recount Google’s ballots. I thought they were based in California, not Florida. (that my friends, was a joke 7 years too late).

    I went to one site today which told me I had a PR of -1. Negative one. That’s how amazing I am. It’s hard, being this good. Really.

    And Eric, your gift is beautiful. Did you make it yourself? I think I can safely speak for Google on this one… “You shouldn’t have!”

    I thought Google was only going to come down on link farms.

    It might go up again though, cos AFAIK Google the search for paid links is manual, and not automated.

    Oh Great!

    Now I have something else to obsess about…
    Now I can lay in bed at night and worry about world terrorism, taxes, mortgages, school fees and NOW my Google rating.
    I guess I could buy shares in a publishing company that will produce the next “You Beut” SEO for Recalcitrant Dummies.

    Still I guess it could be worse… I could have my name permanently engraved on your Douche Bag Award!

    Yea, its nice when the big boys get knocked down though. I wonder really, how much this has to do with google retooling their PR algorithm or paid links.

    Also, I wonder if ask will come up with some kind of rank system to try and take that over as well…
