You know you’ve made it when someone wants a clone of your clone

As some of you may know, one of the other websites I own is The Ad Feed. I’ve been working my ass off when I can, building the new version of the site and resurrecting it.

I had to collect some data a moment ago to get an idea of where I stand, and came across a listing on Get A Coder, from only a couple weeks after I launched the site. The title of the listing is “RSS Parser - Clone Of Theadfeed”

Had they looked at the footer of my site, they would have seen a link for the open-source, completely free, application that powers it, and saved the $100 or so they were looking to pay for cloning my popURLs clone. Surprisingly enough, I get an e-mail every other week or so from all over the world, asking if I could help them build a site like mine.

Oh well. Still feels good to see The Ad Feed being referenced as original. Yippee!
