Why hasn’t this been done before?
It’s simple. It’s brilliant. It’s simply brilliant. If made easy and affordable, could change the way millions of people look at closets.

That’s awesome. I hate hangers.
Great idea…but can it hold pants?
It’s a novel idea, but hardly practical, Who wants clothes hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the room? QUE ESTUPIDO!
It’s tough to catch sarcasm nowadays. ; )
Thanks for linking. :)
Thank god, Travis.
I’m sold.
i don’t get it. what is so brilliant about it?
Would need to integrate a bar so you could slide them down… but I don’t see a ton of improvement over the old fashioned pole system.
The insight is in that it doesn’t need a bar. For retail purposes, or if you have the closet space, you can sort and display your clothing face forward. This allows you to sort your clothes in a much more effecient manner.
You’re not constrained to a bar.
The clothing could be arranged in any way and not be crammed left to right.
He should use ball bearings for the magnets on the hangars. Then the hangars could be rolled around without the need to detach them.
Ryan,
I think a rounded magnet would be great for making it easier to pull away but it wouldn’t make it easier to move the hanger on the board. The magnet would just drag wouldn’t?
I wish everything in my room was either on a hook or a magnet. Would make life a lot simpler.
I think one of the most basic reasons that no one uses this or will never use it, is that not everyone has a huge master closet.
I only have room for a bar.
