Podcasts seem to have taken the backseat to video in the past year, but there are many businesses that still devote their time to producing shows on a regular basis. Finding those shows and filtering the weaker ones out can be quite a challenge. That’s why I’ve taken the time to create a list of business themed podcasts that are worthy of subscribing to.
Hopefully you’ll see a few new shows to add to your reader. Here they are in no specific order:

Venture Voice

American Copywriter
Topic: Advertising & Marketing | Hosted by: John January and Tug McTighe
One of the first advertising podcasts, American Copywriter is an honest and usually hilarious conversation between John and Tug about ads, marketing, and pop culture.
Startup Nation
Topic: Business Startup | Hosted by: Jeff and Rich Sloan
The Sloan brothers cover the different stages of startup, interact with callers on the air, and feature a unique Elevator Pitch segment.
CalacanisCast
Topic: General/Online Business | Hosted by: Jason Calacanis
You either love him, hate him, or have no clue who he his. However you feel, you have to admit that Jason has the experience (created Weblogs Inc.) and the chutzpah to speak his mind. All of which usually results in an entertaining show.

Wallstrip is possibly the only financial video podcast out there. It ties topical pop culture into Wall Street news in an informative daily show.
Practical Ecommerce

Very few ecommerce podcasts exist. Luckily, Practical Ecommerce is an excellent production that features interviews with ecommerce entrepreneurs and service providers in the industry.
HBR IdeaCast
Topic: Breakthrough Ideas | Hosted by: Paul Michelman
IdeaCast is a Harvard production that features business and management commentary from numerous insightful leaders. The topics cover all aspects of business.
Six Pixels of Separation
Topic: Marketing and Social Networking | Hosted by: Mitch Joel
Mitch discusses the online social movement, the elements of communities, and communicating and marketing with this crowd.
Small Business Podcast

Each episode of the Small Business Podcast is an in depth profile of and discussion with an entrepreneur from many different industries.
Duct Tape Marketing Podcast
