I want money, lots and lots of money!

March 28th, 2007 by Travis

The Real Estate & Wealth Expo was in Toronto a few days ago. About 15,000 business hopefuls were duped into paying a couple hundred bucks to learn the secrets of wealth from Trump, Robbins, and a few other big self-help names.

Trump was obviously the biggest name on the set list, having fetched himself $1.5 million to speak for an hour. If you’ve read any of Trump’s books you’ve seen his presentation, minus the professional fucking vernacular of course—he tends to swear a lot.

But the highlight of the event had to have been this motivational dance-a-thon:

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend the event myself, and as a result am a couple hundred dollars richer and have the pleasure of not being one of the scapegoats in the above video.

    What a tradgedy.

Isn’t it sad that they paid money to do that? They should have gotten some really practical advice about how to start getting into investing. Instead they danced to a horrible song.

They could have gone to the club and danced for a lot less.

  3. Eric Says:

That’s not true….They would never play that song at a club

  4. Aaron Says:

lol. Maybe on retro early 90’s night but even that’s a stretch.

The conclusion …to be rich you have to be a good dancer, like Kevin Federline, and get some money. :)

  6. Aaron Says:

Kevin Federline should put on some Wealth building / Motivational seminars.

He’s managed to make money the old fashioned way. Scamming rich desperate women.

Yep, that thing was a joke. People pay to go there to learn about the real estate marked only to hear repeated sales pitches for get rich systems of books or DVD’s – some costing as much as $3000. I was doing security detail and being paid to be there and I still felt like I wasted two days of my life and got duped.

Although it was pretty amusing seeing the “Money girls” whip the crowd up into a frenzy of greed. Seeing people go nuts over Tony Robbins gave me a chuckle too.
