You can now talk to your Yahoo! mates with the new version of Windows Live Messenger
I use MSN/Windows Live Messenger myself.

I don't think so - I think they cut a special deal with Yahoo for the cross collaboration.

There still needs to be a solid app (online or desktop) like Trillian which can chat to any other IM app... I tried Trillian once but only had problems with it.

I tend to get a couple of poor-english speaking people (no offense) add me to messenger and plain annoy the crap out of me with question after question lol... so if I appear "Away" I'm probably online, so just message me anyway :)

Does the new version of MSN (Live) keep your contacts in their groups when you upgrade?
Just that I have probably 150+ contacts split into groups (uni, business, hschool, other etc)
Adnan, I deleted and re-added you so hopefully that works.

Jdoc - thanks for putting that up. I realised that I needed to have the latest MSN Live Messenger for it to work - I didn't know it was the same for Yahoo users.
Nathan - Yeah the new version of MSN Live kept my contacts in their original categories. Thanks for re-adding!
