Hey there Nado - thanks for the plug on YE Blogger!

Given that you said feedback. YEblogger doesn't look very inviting. It looks like one of those infomercial-sites with alot of unnecessary words on one page in an unorganized template design. The google ads and "Score Some Cash!", gave me the impression of (an unprofessional) infomercial-site, better if you just had a sponsor. I also don't see any reason why I should have 1 feed to 270 unknown blogs, it can become very inconvient when I have to nit-pick the informative ones, because I highly doubt all 270 blogs are informative.
What most is important to me is if these blogs been through some strict screening process, so I can know what I'm dealing with and know what to expect. Instead, I feel like I'm fishing and hoping to get a good catch. I myself don't feed on just anything, that's why it would be reassuring if knew the screening process.
One thing I learned in business and marketing is having the world's largest isn't always the world's best. I believe YEblogger should have followed down a path similar to 9rules.
Thanks for posting it up tho.

No probs Eric
I agree with a lot there Audarius... some of the posts are great and some not so good. In time we should have a voting/rating system of some type in place as well as organising blogs/posts into specific categories so you can get the best posts on the stuff you're interested in.
The template should be changing soon too to a fresher look, and I'll address the infomercial issues.
Originally I thought of going the 9rules direction, but was persuaded to go the other way by my biz partner, Daniel. And looking at that decision now it makes more sense considering a competitor is going the small, 9rules-like blog network... plus it kinda sucks discriminating other YE bloggers just because they might do a crappy post every now and then. I think once we get the rating and category system in place it shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks for the feedback!
cheers

Hey Nathan,
I like the concept, and have been browsing the posts frequently this past week. Quality is definitely an issue, something that you've stated will be addressed. Overall, it's got great potential, keep up the good work!

Hello Nathan-fellow members again! How did you find YGG?
I have been YE Blogger and have "happened" on some great places. Maybe I just had good timing when I checked it out!
I have suggested catorgorizing. It's pretty overwhelming.....so many blogs....so much info!
I have contacted Nathan re: the site and I am a sucker for some good old fashion customer service....he does that.
I have to admit that good old fashion personal attention is why I am YGG! Thank you Eric, this is a great place and I'm glad I'm here.I'm looking forward to being here and watching it grow!

Always a pleasure :)

Thanks jdoc
Any time Jan :)
A bit of an update... we're thinking of expanding into all entrepreneur blogs and will be splitting the feeds into different categories. It will probably be simple and crude to begin with, but the KISS principle is always good.. and a good one to follow whilst there are nill revenues :)
cheers

Nado,
As i'm pretty much running the same gig as u (except with gaming-blogs)I just want to tell u something that a couple of people have pointed out to me.
Three of them all said that it would be better if the main page was more like www.geekswithblogs.net/.
Just a thought.

I disagree...I think YE Blogger has a better look already. Categories might be the answer. Perhaps a search feature too.

I agree with Nado, that Geeks with Blogs isn't the type of site you'd want to take to the prom, or out in public. YE Blogger is much, much better looking and has a more interesting format.

Nado....you know I vote for catagories and I can't wait! Start where you need to, it'll all work out.
I'd love to have a specialized widget that brings in blogs for beginers on my blog!
Nathon is another who is good in the personal customer service area! Thank you for your help.
