$99 for a re-seller account seems like a good deal to me.

Is there just too much competition to be succesfull re-selling hosting and the likes? Or do you think I could make a success of the concept.

You are equipped with all the marketing tools and your only risk is the initial $99 investment.

I doubt I could make a full time living out of it, but it could be nice little side earner.

I think the market is totally saturated. My suggestion is to put your efforts into something that you're passionate about...if hosting is really it, go for it. Otherwise, walk away.

I agree that the market is saturated.

If you really want to get into hosting it might be a good way to start, but it will take some time and a lot of effort.

Just like everyone else has said, it's extremely saturated. But if you pick a very small target market and aim it at them, your odds are much better at landing some clients. Like, be a host just for blogs, or for industrial clients, or e-commerce only for mom and pop shops, or partner with several different dropshipping firms and host all of their sites, or provide storage for people to host their videos. Think real small in terms of your niche and there'll be a better chance of you building a substantial side income.

Basically what they said. If you have a niche, try to offer benefits that would specifically appeal to that niche ex: musicians, offer streaming music abilities. There is really nothing other than luck, I would think, that would get you anywhere if you're being another run of the mill hosting reseller. What competitive advantage would you have over the thousands of others in that market?

    Agree x4

Basically, type "server hosting" or "blog hosting" or "business hosting" into Google, and that will tell you whether or not your market is already saturated or not.

Now if you tried "kitten life journal hosting" in, you might not get a lot of relevant results, but then again how big is the market?
