I'm curious to know if anyone here is involved in rental properties.

I have some equity in my residential home that I'm wanting to take out to put into another property of some type. I know that Karen has done some real estate deals in the past and anyone else who has some insight into the best direction to go here, I'd apprecaite it!

Oh, also, if you don't have any first hand knowledge, perhaps you know of some good books that I can pick up to get a feel for things.

Eric, remember I am in Canada so things may be a little different.

Check out creonline.com - it is a wealth of info.

What are you comfortable with? Duplexes or multiplexes have a better ROI than single family homes. Also, if you can get out of Seattle - maybe to a commuter district - you will find better pricing.

I'm not in Seattle, I'm in Spokane - but I have given thought to doing some real estate deals in the Puyallup area.
