Just an off the wall idea.. what if you could go online, list 5 of your own personal ties for swapping, and get 5 credits. Then apply these credits to get a tie from someone else, just to have something different in your wardrobe.

Useful? Stupid? Similar to Paperback Swap.

That's a cool idea Kevin. Yayhooray does a similar thing with t-shirts here and here.

jimmiejoe -- do you think it would work as a business? Charge a fee for each transaction ($1?) and let the users ship them back and forth to each other?

Hmmm...the fee system would be difficult, ties really aren't that expensive these days. I think it'd have to be a place you could get rare/collector type ties (cartoon characters or whatever) because anyone can go to a TJ Maxx and buy a Kenneth Cole or DKNY tie for $7 on sale. Know what I mean?

It'd be interesting if you could apply a Little Miss Matched structure to this tie idea. But, I'm not sure how or if that could work. I'm stumped on this one for now. I'll think about more this afternoon and see if I can think of any direction for it.
