Internet & Tech: Amazon Wishlist + Facebook/MySpace

Quick internet idea...

Take the good old Amazon wishlist/purchased items, and add information sifted from Facebook/MySpace/Xanga accounts to create a "likely to enjoy" list for gift giving.

Example: Mary wants to buy a gift for John.

It would first look at John's wishlist and previously purchased items, then it would compare his profile information on any of the popular sites and come up with recommendations for gifts.

John has previously purchased a Beethoven CD, and a Mozart CD. He has Vivaldi, and Anchorman listed on his facebook profile as his some of his favorites. The site comes back with a list of Amazon results for Vivaldi CDs, other classical CDs, and other Will Ferrell DVDs.

Just a quick thought...

Or it creates the list as a gift giving list, but also the user could use it to discover new artists they would enjoy...
