    Actually no. The trick is to do it differently. I devoted a whole section to this in my ebook.

    Everytime you answer the phone and hear "Hi! My name is FakeNicePerson with XYZ Company. We're calling you today to see if you want to buy our $10,000 product." You cringe, and hangup.

    But if you do things differently - if you strike up a conversation with the person, differentiate yourself from the company, and genuinely take an interest in them - you will actually get a completely different response.

    I've been telemarketing my biz opps since back in my Coastal Vacations days... Back then I was using the typical "Hi my name is..." Needless to say I had more hangups than sales.

    I'm running a telemarketing campaign for an unlimited long distance service here in Canada, and just by structuring the script differently the changes are just incredible. Here - see what I mean. Here is the script I'm using for this campaign - http://cpsnetworks.com/instatelecom.html

    Notice the differences? This one simple technique has generated 100 new sales in the past week alone! This is what I mean with doing it differently - do it right, and you will never look back!

    Interesting - I'm definately not a telemarketer though. It's the toughest selling for me.

    Thats the great thing about it - you don't have to be "a telemarketer". Once you get up the courage to make that first call, the rest are EASY!

    I've been doing this for years. I've helped other people do it too. You always think "I could never do telemarketing, it scares me, I wouldn't be any good."

    But if you force yourself to make that first call... After you're prepared of course... You will feel better. Most people actually want to make more calls once their first "trauma" is over with, because they realize how easy it actually is.

    Don't get discouraged by your fear - its easy. Just strike up a conversation - like you did with me!
