It is completely not acceptable for the media temple dedicated server that my blog had been down several times within 10 days. Moreover, the 24/7 custom service is not true that it is voice mail only at weekend. So you will not get any help even you start a thread at the account panel. No doubt, a few days ago i cancelled the account and migrated back the blog to my old sever. I really hate the system that i cannot contact the staff directly through email. Now i am not sure whether i can get back the money as the cancel date is fixed at one month. WTF the money back guarantee period is also one month. Do you use the suck hosting company, share your experience.

It's been fantastic for us. The cheap (gs) package handles digg traffic like a champ. No gripes here.

I've had issues in the past as well. It seems like there hasn't really been any downtime, so that's a good thing...but I do feel like the sites I have hosted load fairly slow comparing to other sites on other servers I have. Even YGG feels sluggish in the same way (no offense). Maybe it's just me

It's not the fastest but it's been very stable under high load. I'll take that any day.

I've had a Dedicated Virtual with them since almost the beginning of this year.

It was a little bumpy when I first got it, but haven't hadn't any problems since then. Fantastic service on the phone, quick responses from support tickets, and the best deal I've seen for the specs.

Some things just won't work for everyone. See how your new host makes out and maybe give (mt) a try again down the road.

Give them a ring during business hours in the week and let them know how you feel. See if they'll do anything for you. Can't hurt.

YGG gets extremely personal service from (mt). Every time we get dugg they send us a letter commenting on the article and congratulating us for the traffic boost. To me...that's pretty damn cool :)

i never get juice from digg,
but have been paced top one at delicious for several times,
my blog down at around 6000 visitors a day,
it is the limit of MT dedicated sever?
and i also lost 300 subscribers for one day during the down period.

They say the Grid Servers are setup to allocate more resources (ie. yank bandwidth from the other sites on the server) if and when an influx of traffic comes from something like Digg.

I've never had any of my sites on my DV experience 15,000 visitors over the course of a couple hours like YGG has many times.......but spec wise, would expect it to hold up without any issues.

Just bad luck I guess in your case.

Having used a dedicated server at the awful Hosting Zoom for several months and even 1and1 for a bit, I can only say that the MediaTemple admin, support, and prices, are in their own class, from my experience.

(Man, I sound like I'm kissing some serious ass here, don't I?)

I've been considering switching Design Float over to Media Temple but I keep hearing horror stories about them. Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues Wallace.

I just had a horror experience today. I'm on their DV servers, and apparently they're having SMTP memory issues which caused my sites to go down for a few hours. Their uptime isn't the best. I'm down at least once a month and at least for a couple hours at a time, which for a company as large at MT, I don't understand. :(

Support can't do much on weekends. They're only there to answer phones, and reboot your server at most if you can't do it yourself.

I do like their Plesk panel, and other features, but sometimes it feels like that's not enough.

I think I'm going to hold off switching to Media Temple for the time being.

On a side note, you've got a lovely looking site kineda! Nice job!
