Well I launched a personal project, Design Float, about 45 days ago and so far the response has been tremendous. I've received some flack for copying Digg's concept, but the majority of feedback has been positive and in favor of my attempt to improve upon a concept Digg pioneered.

I'm a firm believer that one of the best ways to be successful on the internet is to clone a successful concept and target a niche with it, which is what I have done with Design Float.

Any feedback on the concept, design, idea, etc is apprciated.

You're not the only one who's copied them so I wouldn't worry too much. Welcome to YGG!

Thanks for the welcome Eric. Yea, there are a thousand Digg clones out there and it's really only the hardcore Digg fans seem to resent them.

Wow, I've been faithfully visiting Design Float since I first found it several weeks back. Nice to see the face behind it.

Are you using Pligg to power it?

Oh, and a huge welcome to YGG.

Hey Travis, thanks for the welcome! Glad to hear you've been using Design Float! I am using Pligg to power it, but I've modified it pretty heavily.

What's up Radrew , I love your site we could definately use input from someone such as yourself at my site EttsProject.com.. check it out I just put the site up a couple days ago. If you want we can put a Design Float Logo up in the photoalbum at the top of the site. Regardless if you want to or not you've got an awesome site.
