Do you hand out business cards often? When was the last time you had them designed and/or printed for yourself?

ALL THE TIME. I don't know what I'd do without them.

The last time I designed/printed them was last week.

Just opened a fresh box this morning :)

I hand them out all the time, to anyone who asks for my details.

Every freelancer should have some on hand, especially if you are young because they instantly give you more cred - assuming they look good.

Even if you are in a shop and they ask for your stuff so they can add you to their spamming list, give them a card - it reduces any errors in names and sometimes they even need what you sell!

Okay, because I was thinking of giving some away.

Host a contest on YGG. Give the winner 1,000 business cards or something and help them design them.

    What do you think?

Yeah sound like a great idea - you'll get a lot of interest in that.

Cool. I think we might be able to do this once a month or so. I'll look into who has the best print quality and can ship just about anywhere.

Eric, hit me up on this. Let's talk about this.

Actually, I know a few people who don't even have jobs that require business cards (musicians/waiters), but they have made really neat letterpress "Personal Business Cards".

Says your name, contact, and ___________________ specialist. You fill in the blank. I think I might have to jump on that bandwagon.

I have a few nifty ideas for mine using negative cutouts, but not sure if I should shell out the money to get them printed!

I love em and after SES, I need to re-order a new batch, maybe I'll go with a different card, people seem to really be into the rounded endges/recycled "green" biz card.

But for those who have a blog, you may want to look into the gaping void blog cards, which are just plain awesome:

Alright, we just worked out a deal with one of the best printers out there. More details to come in a week or two once we plan how everything will work.

You guys and gals will love this.
