Lol you can only add 3 people at a time then it says you have to wait. So annoying lol.

Looks like each of us will have an easy 15 Diggs to get some traction for articles we submit. Not too shabby.

Anyone else find the new digg a pain in the ass? Am I missing something or is there no longer a "digg" button under the number of diggs on a friends submitted story when you click on submitted activity? Meaning you have to go to EACH INDIVIDUAL PAGE to digg? F that man, digg needs to pull their head out of their ass.

For sure!
But, they are trying their best to roll out everyones critiques.. Which, is nearly impossible to do.

I'm willing to put my money down that they killed the javascript button so you can't game your friend's diggs. I still Ctrl+click all my friend's submissions, just takes a lot longer to open them in new tabs.
Hopefully there's a Greasemonkey script in the works that enables real-time digging.

Anyone else having problems with Digg? I just tried to login and it says that I was BANNED. Any thoughts?
Dorm Room Biz -
You got caught gaming. Happened to me once in the past. They're really strict, and you can pretty much kiss that account goodbye.
BTW - They actually banned my username AND my IP (back in the day)

Gaming? What because I submitted my own articles?

I have no idea what they suspect you of doing - but whatever it was got you nuked. Bummer dude.

Oh well, I am really not that bugged out by it as I mostly just searched digg for the funny stuff and submitted my articles once in a while. Didn't "digg" a bunch of stuff necessarily. Ill try making another account next week and see what happens.

Eric,
The new DIGG is incredibly annoying - but it's the kind of thing we are going to see a lot of sites wrestling with before the real usefulness of web 2.0 can go on to another "paradigm shift".
Basically, the better they make their functionality, the harder it is to keep people from easily gaming, not to mention the whole ajax punishment of less page views, meaning less advertising. New DIGG is a perfect example of them deliberately lessening the functionality for specific reasons.
Kind of a crap shoot until you think of a use for better functionality like this that people don't need or want to game, but just use. So how can the crowd be put to use in a way where people want to quickly and easily track what friends are submitting, "digging" (rating), or commenting on? What would that look like, and what would the crowd be moving around?
