General Business: £10,000/$20,000 Challenge!

Myself and a friend have set ourselves a challenge. We each start with £10,000 GBP and the challenge is to make the most profit within 6 months. Whoever finishes with the most cash wins and gets both the profits.
Just thought I would do a little research/cheating and find out what fellow Young Go Getters would do?

Hey mate. That sounds like a load of fun - if you have £10,000 to spare which I don't at the mo lol.
If you're talking about making money from the net, then I would go and checkout Sitepoint/Digital Point and see what established sites are up for auction. I would especially look at PR, Alexa, and most importantly, how much revenue is generated at the moment.
If you think that the site has a lot of potential, buy it and try and improve certain aspects, eg. SEO, content, marketing and try and boost revenue. Then keep the site and make money off it through the increased advertising to quicken your return, or flip it and sell it off again with the boosted income which will be likely to attract more bidders.
Do that to a few sites, and you could increase your money quickly.

Of course there's a whole lot more you could do, but that would be my strategy. -
It doesn't necessarily have to be an internet business, it can be anything, online or offline.
I had thought about doing a little site flipping, it is obviously a fairly easy way to make money when you know what you're doing, but it isn't all that fun and although this whole challenge is about making money, I do want to have fun making it :)
I wont dismiss it just yet though!

Haha my idea of fun is doing something adventurous, rock climbing, canoeing, meeting new people on a drunken camping trip etc. We all enjoy different things, unfortunately an adventure camp isn't something I can set up and turn a quick profit on with 10 grand. Such a shame!

Oh rite, I thought you meant the funnest type of business to setup. Obv I don't find internet that much fun compared to being out with my mates/playing sports lol
