I took down Adsense from Blogtrepreneur.com after the new redesign, and so knew that I havn't been really earning that much (if anything) from Google. Anyway, I went to check and I couldnt log into my account - weird!

I then check my Outlook to find this charming piece of prose:

It has come to our attention that invalid clicks and/or impressions
have been generated on the Google ads displayed on your site(s).
Therefore, we have disabled your Google AdSense account. Please
understand that this was a necessary step in order to protect the
    interest of the AdWords advertisers.

A publisher's site may not have invalid clicks or impressions on any
ad(s), including but not limited to clicks and/or impressions generated
    by:

    - a publisher on his own webpages
    - a publisher encouraging others to click on his ads
    - automated clicking programmes or any other deceptive software
    - a publisher altering any portion of the ad code or changing the
layout, behaviour, targeting or delivery of ads for any reason

These or any other such activities that violate Google AdSense Terms
and Conditions and programme polices may have led us to disable your
account. The Terms and Conditions and programme polices can be viewed
    at:

    https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms?hl=en_GB
    https://www.google.com/adsense/policies?hl=en_GB

Publishers disabled for invalid click activity are not allowed further
participation in AdSense and do not receive any further payment. The
earnings on your account will be properly returned to the affected
    advertisers.

If you feel that this decision was wrong and can maintain in good faith
that the invalid activity was not due to your actions or negligence or
those of the people that you are responsible for, such as employees and
family members, you may appeal against the closing of your account. To
do so, please contact us only through this form:

    http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/request.py?contact=invalid_clicks_appeal&hl;=en_GB

If Google decides to evaluate your appeal, we will do our best to
inform you quickly and will proceed with the appropriate action as
necessary. If we have reached a decision on your appeal, subsequent or
duplicate appeals may not be considered.

    Yours sincerely,

    The Google AdSense Team

Dunno how on earth this could have happened, no words.

And so the appeal procedure starts, the buggers owe me $40!

It's nearly impossible to get your account reinstated. We went through it on the old site and weren't able to get it back. Whatever you've earned up to getting the axe gets "refunded" back to the advertisers.

Getting in touch with an actual Google rep is just a challenging. Ask them to look at the click log and remove any clicks they think are illegal. If you're positive that you didn't click on any of your own ads, include your IP address and have them cross-reference it.

Haha yeah I did try to argue my point, but all I got was:

Thank you for your email. As you know, Google treats instances of invalid
clicks very seriously. By disabling your account, we feel that we have
taken the necessary measures to ensure that invalid clicks will not
continue to occur on your site. Due to the proprietary nature of our
monitoring system, we are not able to disclose any specific details of
    these clicks.

So there we go...no more Adsense.

Jam - I'm really not sure whether I will try to reapply. I know that I don't use it on my main site anymore, but I always did have it on my other really crappy sites, even if that did bring me $5 in total per month. I suppose I'll just have to do without from now on. And the experience now just encourages me to make that one huge site that doesn't have to rely on Adsense!
