Just picked me up one of these bad boys
I'm lovin' the black. I hope they come out with buyable movies instead of this rental crap on the Live Marketplace...I would definitely be a user of that, but I'm not spending $5 to rent.

Do you have the wireless headset?
My crappy wired one that came with the 360 is dead and the reviews of the wireless one are mixed. Not sure if I should buy it.

What happened to the one you got with the 360 originally? Is it just cutting out and you have to hold it weird or push on a wire to make it work? I had that problem with mine - the new ones you buy at the store are made a bit differently and seem to work fine.
I bought a new one at Wal Mart, took it out, put the old busted ass one back in the package and got my money back because it was "defective" - hey...stickin' it to the man!

My mic was cutting in and out for the past couple of months. Now it doesn't seem to work at all when I try to scream at the team killing assholes. :)
I think I'll pick up a new wired one and save myself $50.

Yeah that's what I would do. Pull a switcharoo on Wal Mart - no sweat of their back and it saves you money. Plus the old one shouldn't have broke as fast as it did. Yes, I'm just rationalizing my crimes.
