hi everybody, my name's brian. i'm 24 and currently living in northern NJ. here's a brief bio:

    career
for the past 2 years, i've been working as a computer forensics and electronic discovery consultant for a small to midsize consulting firm. my office is in NYC, but i typically travel about 95% of the time. most of my travels have been to chicago, but i've also been to dallas, houston, kansas city, boston, and a few more places that escape me at the moment.

typically i'm out collecting or working with digital evidence (email, hard drive, network data) for legal matters like financial restatements, intellectual property theft cases, congressional hearings, etc. it's interesting work, but the travel wears on you. if you see me in your office, it usually means something really bad has happened at your company.

    education & certs
BS in accounting from Lehigh University
hopefully, within a year or so i will have my CPA

    interests
like everyone else in the world, i blog and do a bit of freelance web development. i'm slighly obsessed with usability and information architecture.

    Welcome to YGG Brian!

Definitely an interesting job you have. My wife was thinking of doing forensic accounting at one point but took a different path.

What do you mean "everyone else in the world"? There is more than one web designer?!?!?!

yeah, i'm thinking about hopping into forensic accounting. it's closely tied to what i currently do. the only problem is i don't want to travel much anymore and that's pretty much required for young accountants.

does your wife work in accounting or no?

Yeah, she's a state auditor. She also travels, but usually shorter distances (across the state at most)

Welcome Brian. Yeah I would say that on top of traveling most people are exactly excited to see you when you get there.
