Wire frame Subaru Imprezas. Frickin' A!

Those are made out of actual wire folks. None of that 3d computer crap you kids do nowadays. ;)

Wow....how'd they do that so precisely?
At first I thought it really WAS CGI, but then I saw the shadow cast by the wire structure.
That is NUTS.
The GC8 Impreza is one of my favorite cars.

Woah. Crazy. Is this the only one they've ever done?

its an impreza, no doubt...but also, it's fake.
1st pic: there are no shadows at all. the camera might have had a flash or at least there was a light source from the viewing side...you can see a reflection of it in the passing car. Scion maybe? If no flash then who knows why the reflection, but also no shadow from the big light across the street. Should reflect a shadow towards us.
2nd pic: Shutter speed shows the middle glowing yellow/orange stripe in the middle of the road, it also shows it across the street with the lights.
But notice, the back tires arent shadowed at all like the rest of the car, and actually they arent even shadowed. If it is all wire, every parallel/perpendicular wire to the light source would be shadowed... like in the middle of the wire structure there'd be a ton of shadow lines from the front wires like there are behind the car from the rear wires...but it isnt. It's a good photochop at best.
There's almost 10 shadow lines in the rear and MAYBE four in the front, not to mention none from the roofline.
Playing detective!

I'd say that the pics were shot in night mode with a slow shutter speed and photoshopped a bit to enhance the contrast. But they are real.
Here's another pic from the side and the link to Paul Smith's gallery, where these were on display:
