    How do you pick a website (and corresponding domain) name?

    Depends on what it's for - I've never had any issues just having them pop into my head.

    Most of mine are by joining two words together I've found. I found an article that details a few different methods.

    Nice article.

    I usually try to put a list together of a hundred or so words, phrases, and objects that I'd like to be associated with the domain.

    Then I combine some of them, find alternative spelling, search for the .com availability, google to see what comes up on the first page for that word, then see if there's any immediate visual recognition with the word.

    Travis come to think of it I do something pretty similar. Not so much writing down the words first. Just coming up with combinations and then mixing them all together, all through textmate.

    Naming is a funny thing, I've found that so many people have trouble with business names as well.
