I forgot I had setup Google to depoist my earnings to my bank account. They sent me my first payment two days ago. Yipee!

Would have been nice to get a cheque in the mail from Google, but that would have taken another month and my bank would hold it because they wouldn't think a search engine could send cheques to people.

    Anyways, yipee once again.

I'm a little over halfway to the magic $100. Feb sucked for good paying clicks.

I've about a third of the way, which is fantastic relative to the effort I've put in.

My earnings have been steadily growing for the last few years and am currently just about reaching the $100 mark every month, without plastering my site with ads too so I'm pleased with how it's going.

Congrats Travis, always good to get that first payment :)

Lol - so coincidental. I checked my bank account today and ALSO found that I had received my first ever payment ever! Im so excited.

But, the GBP to USD is so crap that I basically got half what I earnt in dollars! I won't let this get me down though. Well done Travis and lets hope that we can get another deposit in the coming few months ;)

    Congrats Adnan.

I'm more impressed by what Text Link Ads generates and how quickly they pay then Google. Hopefully they stay afloat for a couple more years.

Text Link Ads are great — they're consistent earners even on a completely dormant site. And the fact that they pay out frequently is something of a bonus.

My site uploadfx has been running TLA for a few days now. One ad is going to net me $7.50/mo, so far only one ad sold out of four. Impressed thus far.

    Thanks Travis.

Yeah Text Link Ads continue to be my best earner, and this month I'm hitting $105 from them alone after selling 7 out of my possible 8 ad slots - which is sooo cool! How are you guys doin on TLA?

We're doing pretty good. We have 5 of 8 spots sold. Our ratings keep rising in pretty much everything, so hopefully we get a boost in value per link in the near future.

So you're earning around $90 which is excellent.
Unfortunately, at the beginning, my link price started at $17, so I only received $8 per link. Then when my link price went upto $35, the original advertisers continued to pay $8 - so at the moment, they're getting real value for their money.

Thats the advantage/gamble of getting a text link when a site is young, because it could turn out to be real popular in which case, you'd be paying peanuts for a link. But its a good reward for your loyal advertisers as well so it works both ways.

Yeah my one link is at $15...so i get $7.50/mo from it. Combined with my adsense I'm making an est $20+/mo from a website I purchased in a package for $150.

Does anyone else think it's bull shit that they take 50%? Same with ReviewMe. That annoys me...

yeah it's annoying, but I can justify it since all i did was submit my site and make money. They do all the ad legwork.

Imagine what adsense takes. Probably close to 90%

I don't think AdSense will ever disclose the cut they take. It supposedly varies, but still would be nice to know if they're taking 30% or 80%.

Glad to hear you got your payment. I right at the verge of a second one (just a few cents or clicks shy of the $100 mark). On another note, I got my first Text Links Ads check yesterday in the mail, so that was exciting :-)

You should set your TLA to automatically deposit into your PayPal. Happens the first of every month automatically.
