Have a business card? Post it here. Blur/block out the contact info or e-mail if you'd like, but this is the place to post 'em if you've got 'em.

I've got a new one on the way in a few weeks and will post when they arrive. Get the ball rolling if you're not afraid to be carded.

I have a great idea for a nice set of business cards that aren't really expensive.... if you have a flickr account head on over to moo.com and you can create a set of 100 for $20.00 nice and easy with all of the contact info you really need in a shape and size that is easy to carry, and stands out.. Just an idea. :) or bebo cards http://www.moo.com/bebo/

I use overnightprints.com - great card-stock and awesome prices. Quickest turnaround I've ever had and I've done a LOT of printing. The rounded edges option for biz cards is fabulous too, looks great!

I'm going to give Overnightprints a try for my next cards. The samples they sent me were quite nice.

Everyone seems to comment that it is a nice card but when I do the next batch I'll be going for something smaller.

My question is: If you are an internet entrepreneur and have a number of sites that you want to promote, what do you do with your card? What should be on it?

    Ross,
Just putting in my designers input, that text is huge for a business card, but it would defiantly make me look twice so that’s good.

always use the back of the card...I personally like the use of a light text/watermark of all your websites on the back, so you can also use it as writing space if you give the card out...

If you are working on the internet I only believe you need to put on your website address and maybe your phone number.

Jam, I've got a quick description of what I do on the back of the card but I can't find it. I don't ever write on cards so I didn't see the point for a space. My alternative is to take notes on my phone and then send a quick email off as soon as I get home.

I agree it's huge. Does it make it hard to read or is it better? My theory was when a person has a big stack of cards they'll find me pretty quickly.

Is anyone else going to post a card?

Posted By: rosshillMy alternative is to take notes on my phone and then send a quick email off as soon as I get home.

that sounds good to me, I would be really surpprised if someone i was talking to did that unless is was unrelated spam that ended up in my inbox.

I think its fine, just standards say its far to big.
Remeber most business cards are made for multi-employee businesses so everyones name has to fit onto the card at the same size and what not.

If i put my name (Jamison Banham) in same font and size on your card i would be in trouble. (reason why most cards are landscape)
Personaly when looking at your card i would like to see a bit more white space, also i tend to just see the thrive logo then my eyes shift straight to your phone number and web address missing the other information

Here is my business card for a company I work for:
Still havent made my own, on the todo list.

I guess there won't be a Jamison Banham working at Thrive for the next couple of months then. At least not if he wants a card, haha.

Nice card, on the landscape bit I'd make the middle group 50% bigger, imo it looks lost in the white space.

A general question: is it worth listing your services (hopefully if you meet someone and introduce yourself they have a fair idea of what you do) or is it better to write a story about how your company interacts with its clients? Or something else all together?

lol, that’s the way my boss wanted the card, looking fine printed...

Yeah I don’t really like the idea of listing all your service on the back (some maybe), but that’s what was asked of me.
If putting the services or websites on the back i personally recommend doing it in a very light grey so people don’t notice it but if they need to look for reference they can...

As strangely as it seems I actually give my card out to mostly graphic designers, so I guess listing other services would benefit me (the guys I work for) a bit

I like the logo in the middle on the back, that’s what I usually do...

When I made my first business cards 7 or so years ago I included my services on it. They were awful cards. I haven't listed them since then and do see the need to.

For some home-service type businesses it could come in handy as a cost effective alternative to brochures as a leave behind. I tend to just use the back of the card as an experimental ground to extend the brand and have a little fun.

hi, just an idea on the card... and its totally up to you if it is the final but its a lot of information to take in at once. Maybe a 2 sided card would be much better to include all of the info... 4 color printing can be really expensive sometimes and then by the time you add in a luxurious cardstock it can add up- I always like the thick cardstock also in my bc's - Sometimes a little is all you need to say a lot or want someone to know more.
