I was checking my website stats for My Foreign Language School and I was stunned by the # of visits I received.

Since my website is a brochure for my local business I don't target nor do I normally get tons of traffic. I big day for me is 30 visitors.

I submitted an article, The Three Worst Foreign Language Learning Mistakes, to Stumble Upon and Digg. I received 66 visits from Stumble Upon and 22 from Digg with a grand total of 117 visits today.

That's 3/4 of what I usually get in a week. So anyway I don't know what the secret was this time because I've submitted articles in the past and they normally would only get a few visits.

Conclusion: Use Stumble Upon and Digg to get good spike traffic to your site.

    Possible Success Factors:

    - Thursday is a good day to submit
    - I had a good title

An interesting article for everyone to read from Yaro's entrepreneurial blog. I couldn't find the actual article because it's from Yaro's newslette and he doesn't have it archived. Here's a link to another article that mentions Pillar Articles and Spike Articles. It's really good advice for any blogger.

If you are interested in the other article just PM and I'll email it to you.
