Alright, so I had been reading about a guy who has been creating about 3-4 sites a week based on celebrities. Each site was only a couple pages with very basic info- biography, pictures, links. Yet he loaded them up with AdSense and is making $2.00+ from each site per day. Hes now up to a collection of 20 sites I believe.

So, I decided to give the strategy a try. I created a site on the first celebrity that I thought of that wasn't always in the spot light but is still active in TV and movies....Raven Symone from Disney's That's So Raven and other stuff.

I put searched for a domain name and came up with www.theravensymone.com. Not too bad I don't think. Now, I put the site together in a couple hours over two days.

So, this is my little experiement. Hopefully over the next couple weeks I can create up to another 5-10 of these sites, submit them to some different places for link exchanges and see if I can get some money back from them.

Check the site out and give me a little love, I am interested in how much they may pay. Let me know your thoughts...now its time to check out get some SEO for some tips on getting some traffic!

    The Raven Symone

Nice site and I think that it's a good strategy.

I think it's a good strategy as well. I don't know about Raven Symone but hey...perhaps it's an undiscovered persona. I just would have never thought of her - I don't watch too much Disney, that...and she pretty much makes me want to stick my finger into my eye and swirl it around.

BTW - Love shown, let us know.

i think as long as you can get into the top "page" of a google search you'll do really well.

Let me know how the strategy goes, I'd be willing to put of a few sites myself.

I was going to do this a while back and even own a few domains that I should do it for until I have the time to launch a full-fledged website, but I haven't had the interest in doing it.

I'm interested to see how it does for you. How many do you plan to launch?

I agree that the subject of the site, Raven Symone, was a little random, but I had a couple reasons. Most extremely popular celebrities already have thousands of fan sites out there...how would mine be any different from those? And it would be pretty difficult to get on top search results with those celebrities. So, I wanted to go with someone who is a little "less popular" but is still known and admired by younger kids and probably searched fairly often for. With focusing on a person who is more well known in a younger generation, I am hoping that they are more willing to click on ad's on the site that are related to her - such as about her shows or her music. Hopefully this will work out.

As for the ads, yesterday I got 3 clicks worth anything and earned be 33 cents and thats with 27 page impressions...aka from YGG. So hopefully as the views go up, the clicking will go up. I have also been thinking about Text Link Ads but I am sure it will get denied the first time around, so I am going to do some SEO with it and try and exchange links with similar sites.

I am not sure how many sites I want to launch, eventually over the course of the next month, I would like to try and launch 9 more, brining the total up to 10. Travis, if your interested, we could partner up for some since you already have some domains.

The problem now is just trying to come up with people/interests to make the next sites about. I have been thinking about doing medical related conditions...such as cancers and diseases. They seem to pay pretty high with ads and may be able to get some good traffic.

    Thoughts?

I think the Raven site was a good idea, I agree with the strategy. I think TLA is a waste at this point as you're right, you will get denied right now. Let your PR and Alexa build up bit and you'll be ok.

Update?...if this goes over well I think I could whip up a couple B/C-List celeb sites if they make enough to cover the time spent.

OK so Im a little drunk right now cause we had a keg at our place tonight (my roommate and I)...and not many peiople showed up.....so there is a bit (aka a lot) left over for tomorrow...super bowl. But I will try and point out how TheRavenSymone.com did in the past couple days. I posted this once before but I guess it got lost in the server transfer.

    Monday the 29th- $1.59
    Tuesday the 30th - $0.48
    Wednesday the 31st- $1.09
    Thursday the 1st- $0.08
    Friday the 2nd- $0.91

Now not all of that was for TheRavenSymone.com...I cant do the break down right now (refer to reason above) but 90% of the last few days have come from that site....which means about $4 has come from theravensysmone.com. Not too bad eh? Im going to bed before I drink more and have even a larger headache. Good night all!

I am doing alright now...since its 2:30 in the afternoon here. I was up at 10 AM to meet with a lady whose website I am gonna finish up for her and it wasn't the best morning I've had but it also wasn't the worst...

Anyway, the site seems to be doing alright so far without any real advertising...I just havent had the chance to do any SEO stuff to it yet. Hopefully once I do, it will pick up even more.

Some people are showing a lot of details from their Adsense accounts on here. It might be good for somebody to clarify the TOS and how much you can tell each other or post publicly - nobody wants to get banned.

You can talk about it all you want, you just can't post screenshots with all of the information. But yes, you all should look into it.

I've been on other sites where they can show the earnings but not the # of clicks.

I've seen screenshots but everything except the earnings is blacked out.

You can say how much you've earned, but not the amount of clicks and other details.

For traffic, you can show all you wish from Google Analytics.
