I sold my 95 BMW 318is back in April and bought a silver 2004 Honda Accord coupe with tinted windows and a sunroof... actually. Hmm. I haven't uploaded a picture anywhere recently. Guess I should do that.

    Yay for lower maintenance costs!

    Nice MB...

Ya, I totally loved my 96 integra. The maintenance costs were pretty much the cost of an oil change every 3k miles. :)Kineda - Entertainment, Pop Culture, and Lifestyle

It's running at about 11lbs with the Kleemann Pulley. I'm actually selling the car now, so it hasn't been driven much lately. Picked up an '05 m3 instead.Kineda - Entertainment, Pop Culture, and Lifestyle

My commuter car that I personally own is a Cadillac Seville STS - but I drive our inventory a lot of the time because we always have some sweet Audi's in stock.Complacency kills, and we're too young to die...Risk taker by nature

    It has arrived...what'cha talking about?

On the roads in LA - without DLR plates.

I love audi's - they just need to work on maintaining their value. I think the Audi A6 is one BAAAAD car! Forget an e-class. :)

my daily ride: whatever Hertz gives me for the week. My poor mini - i've driven the thing ONCE since May. :/EntrepreneurGirls Business, from the female perspective

If it's gonna hit the streets anywhere first... it's LA. :D

A6 is nice, but there's no beating the E63 AMG in the sedan category. :DKineda - Entertainment, Pop Culture, and Lifestyle

Yes, but you're also talking about a difference of about $30K.

e63, m5 - are in a category of their own... and to thing cadillac thinks they're gonna jump in there with the STS V Series - although it is a nice looking car.

For the money, I'm still all about the A6. Cuz if I'm really in the $90K range, the e63 is not on my radar. :)EntrepreneurGirls Business, from the female perspective

The STS V is a bad ass piece...don't knock it til you drive it :) Actually the entire V series is pretty impressive...especially the XLR (cream).

I agree about the A6 - great mid-sized luxury sedan. The new ones are insane. We have a 2003 in stock right now, 2.7T, it's beautiful. I just love the way Audi's feel on the road.

I had the pleasure of driving a 2004 A8L 4.2 the other day. The word luxury doesn't even begin to describe it. The 2006 A8 is giving the S-class a run for it's money.

To be honest, Mercedes are just too rigid for me. I'm one to really fall in love with the luxurious feel as I'm driving over the sporty cornering and performance. As long as it goes fast in a straight line and has all the creature comforts I desire, along with "fine Corinthian leather" that's soft and supple...I'm there.

Anything else is just uncivilized :)

Oh and one more thing...I'm not a fan of borrowing money on a depreciating asset. I made an exception for my boat, but for our cars we own them outright. It's just not smart to piss the money away, IMHO.Complacency kills, and we're too young to die...Risk taker by nature

Agreed - I haven't driven an STS. Drove a CTS and was waaaaay disappointed. But then I'm not into putting money into a depreciating asset either (paying cash for a car). Why put $50K cash into something, when I can make payments at 0% of .9% interest and put the rest to use to pay for that interest and some.

I got an A8 (definitely not the souped up one) as a rental with Hertz (god bless Hertz) and didn't want to give the thing up. IN some cities Hertz rents the S4, but I haven't managed to get my hands on one of those yet.

I think in the US folks naturally gravitate to BMWs and Lexus' simply because Audi's don't have the same level of prestige that they have in Europe and the Middle East. When I was in Paris, all the "royalty" kids were driven to school in Audi A8/Volkswagen Phaeton's (haha...I went to the American University of Paris and was stuck in class with the Princess of Prussia, the J'adore Dior chick and the Prince of Nigeria amongst others). NUTS.

But thats just me. :)EntrepreneurGirls Business, from the female perspective

...and its easy for me to poke holes, considering I'm driving something that's 1/3 or 1/4 the cost of the mess we're talking about. :)EntrepreneurGirls Business, from the female perspective

The CTS is rather disappointing, but it also is their entry level luxury sedan. It's no more disappointing than a standard 3 series BMW or ES series Lexus. The CTS-V is a screamer. I'm just not a fan of the interior appointments. The new STS is a WHOLE new ballgame.

If it was up to me, I'd have a DTS anyways. They are just so...mafia.

Actually, if it was REALLY up to me, I'd have a limousine and not worry about driving. I would LOVE to have the extra phone/note time.Complacency kills, and we're too young to die...Risk taker by nature
