Awesome article Darius – and it really shows the true power of such social sites like Digg, MySpace and Facebook. These millions of voices who really create these sites, do help to garner feedback to owners to really improve themselves and as you said can help the networking sites to get a lot of media attention, fuelling even more growth.

How about if every Digg, MySpace or Facebook user donated just $1 each. That would surely be quite a few $mill, and having this type of collection every year would surely help and count for something. Its about time we got off our asses to help others not so fortunate in the world.

There is defiantly enough power to influence a large amount of people may it be political or just something like Digg experienced. Even looking at something like the Aids epidemic or the Darfur genocide, I think the the net and the people of the net have played a large part in brining attention and care to these issues.
